With all that the Ribble Valley has to offer it’s hard to think that you will want to venture elsewhere. However, we recognise the temptation to explore the surrounding area when we are so perfectly placed to easily access such a diverse variety of places.

Bordering almost all Lancashire boroughs and also bordering Yorkshire, you are never too far from some great places to visit, or even work.

With great rail and road links you are able to be in Manchester City Centre, Manchester Airport or Leeds Bradford Airport within an hour; or travel just a little further afield and you could be exploring Leeds or Liverpool; be exhilarated in the Lake District or Yorkshire Dales; or taking in the air along the extensive Lancashire coast.

Rail travel is available directly from the southern side of the borough through the stations of Clitheroe, Whalley, Langho and at Ramsgreave and Wilpshire. The nearest stations for the West Coast main-line are Preston, and also Lancaster for the more northern areas of the borough. Looking towards the East Coast main-line, Skipton station provides your connection to the nearest main-line station of Leeds.

Towards the south of the borough there is easy access to the entire M65 motorway and on the west side of the borough we are close to the M6 motorway. Key junctions on the M6 for the Ribble Valley are J34 at Lancaster down to J31 at Preston.
